Siemens Survey Reports VOIP Over RFID

Siemens Financial has found that in the future, businesses are more likely to invest in security and voice over IP (VOIP) than RFID. In a survey, the company found that 36% of the firms interviewed invested in security and VoIP. Only 16% of respondents had implemented RFID into their systems. Many industry authorities argue that VOIP will win the IT race because the user gets more per dollar with a VOIP system. Information Week reports:

And companies are investing in IT. Half the surveyed companies plan to increase IT spending this year by an average of 22%. If they don’t invest in IT, nearly all say they’ll be at a disadvantage to their competitors.
