RFID Device with Password Security offered By ST
ST Microelectronics has come up with two 2048 bit RFID memory products which are compliant with the ISO/IEC 15693 and ISO/IEC 18000-3 Mode 1 RFID standards for tracking applications. The memory which has been used has been driven by the need for increased memory in general purpose RFID applications requires both data storage and security.
The LRIS2K has a password for additional protection and each of the memory block in the device could be individually profiled using one of the three available passwords. Security profiling offers a high level of flexibility and permits different parts of the supply chain to control different segments of the memory. Both the devices have an on chip RF interface which operates at the standard HF.
