METRO makes use of RFID network Infrastructure for the largest retail RFID rollout in Europe
The leading provider of RFID network infrastructure, Reva Systems has announced that METRO group will be making use Reva’s Tag Acquisition Processor. In the initial stage around 200 locations will be covered, these would be the Cash & Carry outlets of METRO.
The rollout involves the use of Reva’s technology at each of the locations. It is well known that METRO group has one of the best RFID testing and research facilities in the world.
According to Dr. Gerd Wolfram, managing director of MGI METRO Group Information Technology:
