Teenage Inmates in US to be tracked via RFID

Now RFID will be used to track teenage inmates in US. Alanco Technologies has undertaken the first ever US deployment of its Wi-Fi compatible RFID tracking technology for teenage inmates. The technology is being implemented at the Marion County Juvenile Detention Center in Indiana. Their software was integrated with the operating system so that data could flow from central intake point as teenagers were taken into custody and placed into the facility. The detention center is home to around two hundred male and female offenders.

It is expected to enable inmate and officer identification and location and tracking inside the prison.
